Prompt: Think about a food from your own culture that you find disgusting, unusual, or simply refuse to eat. What is the food, and why do you dislike it? Is it something that other people in your family or culture enjoy? Explain why you think certain foods can be considered delicious by some people but disgusting by others. Be specific and reflect on how personal experiences and cultural traditions influence our food preferences.

Prompt Response: A food that I find disgusting in my culture is nopales. My mother boils and salts it and when I bite into it, it tastes acidic. Meanwhile, the rest of my family members seem to enjoy nopales, despite the harsh flavor. Foods can be delicious to some but disgusting to others because it depends on your food palette. There are billions of people on Earth so nobody can all like the same thing. For example, one of my friends said that they got disgusted from yogurt because it was too watery. For cultural traditional influence, in East Asian culture, they prefer food that is less sweet, for their health. In the need, food can be too sweet, too salty, too bitter, too sour, so it depends on what you like and what influences you.
