Prompt: If you could share one dish from your culture or family traditions with someone who has never tried it, what would you choose? What would you want that person to understand about you or your culture through that dish?
Prompt Response: If I were to share one dish from my culture it would be taquitos. It is a rolled up tortilla filled up with meat that is deep-fried. It’s really addictive, as the grease and crunch makes your mouth salivate. To add, the comforting meat inside compliments it nicely. You could add any toppings you want, and it’s usually shared between family. This dish will help people understand my culture because it shows the community of caring about each other by the bountiful amount shared between each other as we eat together.
Summary: In class, we did our cultural food projects.
Reflection: It made me realize that I should add more interesting details about the food, so that the importance of the food can be affective from the description.
